Trip Times
This can be flexible - generally we meet at our base in Turangi at 7:30am or at the river at 10:30am.
Allow three hours in total for the trip with 1.5 hours spent on the river.
The Wairoa river is Dam controlled and only flows 26 days of the year on given Sundays - the dates available for the upcoming season are listed below.
2012
November: 11th & 25th
December: 9th, 23rd & 30th
2013
January: 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th
Feburary: 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th
March: 3rd & 10th
Later dates in March and April are reserved for the "Extreme Day" - two grade five rivers in the same day!
